Home Study Unit

This unit describes the skills and knowledge required of workers to understand and comply with infection control guidelines and Occupational Health & Safety (OHS) processes. Policies and procedures may be organisational, industry – based and/or legislated. In addition to Kinesiologists, this unit applies to a wide range of workers in health industry settings reflecting the importance of controlling infection risks and self-protection.

This unit contains the following two Australian national qualification standards:

• Unit HLTIN301A Comply with Infection Control policies and procedures
• Unit HLTWHS300A Contribute to WHS processe
