I was born in Perth, grew up in Adelaide and then spent 11 years in London and Hertfordshire before moving to Melbourne in 2011. At University, I studied Communications and found myself working in Event Management and Corporate Communications for companies such as Schroder Investment Management and Shell International Petroleum Company.

Whilst the corporate game in London fed my need for success and my life goals at the time, it was not personally sustainable throughout the child-rearing years. I was on my own, across the other side of the globe from my family in Adelaide, and without support, I needed to prioritise motherhood and my children.

This loss of self was what began my journey to kinesiology and the life I am living today.

The first sign things were not completely right was highlighted shortly after having children when physical symptoms appeared including increased pre-menstrual symptoms, a lack of restful, good-quality sleep and general lack of ability to function “normally”. As with a great number of new mums I put it down to having 2 young children and a husband who worked away from Monday to Friday and spent much of the weekend pursuing his own interests.

About 5 years ago things intensified and I found myself needing 3 hour naps in the afternoon to get through the day – a very unlikely behaviour for someone who was usually a motivated, self-starter with loads of energy. As with many people in our modern life, I ignored the signs and pushed on through putting it down to the “changing weather” or a “phase” I was going through.

Later that year, I injured my foot quite significantly and doctors told me that I had the signs of Rheumatoid Arthritis and Hashimotos – both autoimmune diseases. I started to see a Naturopath and changed my eating habits, eliminating all processed foods, gluten, minimalising my dairy intake and removing as much sugar as possible from my diet. Despite these efforts and going to the gym for 5+ sessions per week, I was heavier than I had ever been, more sluggish and could shift neither the weight nor the body fat. I was teetering on the edge of depression and could not comprehend where I was going wrong.

By the start of April 2015, I felt I was a completely broken shell of the human I used to be. Barely eating, still gaining both weight and body fat, moody and borderline depressed.

This was NO WAY to live and I wanted answers!

I saw naturopaths, Chinese doctors, chiropractors and psychologists – I refused to take the anti-depressants the GP was recommending as I wanted holistic, natural answers. One day, I happened across a Kinesiologist and my life changed completely. I had never heard of this modality and was immediately curious. My first session blew my life apart completely.

My kinesiologist walked with me on my path to wellness and healing. We have cleared emotional traumas, sabotage programmes, abuse cycles, chipped away at old belief systems which no longer serve me, creating new neural pathways from which I can function and grow without limits. We connected me back into my body, mind and spirit. The weight dropped off, I gained muscle, my mood and sleep improved and I had clearer insights into all the causes of this lack of wellness, this dis-ease in my body.

By the October, I had started studying kinesiology so that I too could help people the way my kinesiologist helped me and I haven’t looked back.

I bring as many tools to the table as I can each balance to give my clients the same opportunities I had to crack through their self-limitations, old belief patterns and enable, encourage, empower and lock-in new ways of being for a positive, happy, healthy life of well-being.
