Two RTOs in Australia

Two RTOs in Australia are registered with ICPKP to offer the ICPKP Units as the kinesiology component of  HLT42807 Certificate IV in Kinesiology and HLT51507 Diploma of Kinesiology. Students are free to choose which RTO best fits their desires for a learning environment.

ICPKPA - ICPKP Australasia - RTO #90826

KSA - Kinesiology Schools Australia - RTO #30916

The ICPKP is not a training institute and does not directly enrol students or teach classes. Rather, ICPKP provides teaching materials and assessment tools that can be used as components to meet the kinesiology requirements for national certificates and diplomas. In Australia there are two nationally Registered Training Organisations (see above).

In February 2007 the Australian Quality Training Framework, the body responsible for nationally recognised training, endorsed Kinesiology as part of the Health Training Package (HLT07). To comply, effective 1 July 2010, ICPKP has replaced the old (1998) four year Diploma course with the following six qualifications and Certificates:
  1. International Certificate in Self-Care Read more
  2. International Certificate in Kinesiology 4 Wellness Read more
  3. International Certificate in Basic Kinesiology Principles Read more
  4. International Certificate in Professional Kinesiology Practice Read More
    Complies with HLT42807 (Aust)
  5. International Diploma in Kinesiology - Professional Kinesiology Practice Read More
    Complies with HLT51507 (Aust)
  6. Vocational Graduate Diploma in Kinesiopractic®
Includes the balance of the ICPKP units.
Complete curriculum not yet established or registered.
The first three Certificate courses may be taught by an ICPKP Faculty Member who is affiliated to an RTO but does not necessarily have their own college buildings. The two Nationally Endorsed Qualifications must be taught by an RTO or one of it’s registered campuses.

The recently implemented Section 10 of Private Health Insurance (Accreditation) Rules 2008 pursuant to the PHI Act 2007 means all health care providers in Australia must be members of professional organisations that represent that health care modality to receive the provider recognition with health funds. AIK - Australian Institute of Kinesiologists has Provider Recognition with 17 Health Funds (see www.kinesiology.asn.au). The minimum qualification for Provider Recognition is the HLT51507 Diploma of Kinesiology.
